The house of Don Gaspano is set in the middle of a large and pleasant garden which borders a huge olive grove. It has a ground floor with a reception room, bedrooms with private bathrooms, dining-room, sitting rooms, kitchen, a private area for the family and a large covered terrace surrounded by flowering bushes of bougainvillea, hibiscus, wisteria and mimosa.
The recently renovated guestrooms are on the first floor. They are all fitted with private bathrooms, and are furnished with the elegance that marks the rest of the house. Bright and very peaceful, the guestrooms look out on a large garden full of flowers and on an olive grove. They open onto a large terrace, ideal for sunbathing, from which one enjoys a panoramic view of the Eolian Isles, the bay of Milazzo and the Peloritan mountains.

As well as being a traditional and refined B & B, Don Gaspano is the ideal place for those who want to learn Italian while spending a pleasant holiday in a friendly Sicilian house.
The owner of the house, an experienced language teacher, will help you to improve your Italian and will guide you in your discovery of many aspects of Italian life. Learning a language can become a pleasure and it is the aim of Don Gaspano to make such a venture as pleasurable and as rewarding as possible.
Our weekly program of italian language courses includes three hours of lessons every day (six days a week). During the courses which usually take place on a terrace surrounded by hibiscus and bougainvillea bushes the students can enjoy delicious Sicilian iced drinks called "granite". The learning of Italian will not end with the courses itself but will be carried on all through the day in a more informal manner watching the preparation of food, during conversations at mealtime, while shopping or in the course of an excursion in the neighbourhood.
Thanks to the cultural and linguistic experience of living a genuine Italian life, eating Italian food and taking part in the preparation of special dishes, swimming in the clear water of the Mediterranean, sunbathing on peaceful beaches, discovering some of the many natural and historical riches of the island, the student's knowledge of Italian is sure to improve significantly and rapidly.
